This year, our three-day Christmas trip took us to the sunny south of Spain to Seville – the proud capital of Andalusia. From the moment we arrived, it was clear: this city has a special aura. Historic charm meets relaxed city life and Mediterranean ease.
Fog in the Morning, Sun in the Afternoon
Saturday began almost mystically: a light fog settled over the squares, the orange trees, and the palms, making everything look like a scene from an old movie. By the afternoon, the sun broke through, and Seville revealed itself in its typical colors – warm yellows, bright whites, terracotta rooftops, and lush green gardens.
Culture You Can Touch
Our city tour led us through the winding old town: narrow streets, hidden courtyards, and plenty of architectural treasures. Particularly impressive was Seville Cathedral with the Giralda, the former minaret that now serves as the bell tower. The climb is worth it – the view over the city’s rooftops is simply spectacular. And, of course, a visit to Christopher Columbus’s tomb is a must – a real piece of history.
Paella Workshop
Besides culture, we wanted to indulge in culinary delights. Small tapas bars invited us to discover Seville from its tastiest side – from crispy patatas bravas to flavorful Jamón Ibérico. A real highlight was our group paella workshop. With lots of fun, teamwork, and culinary experimentation, we prepared delicious dishes from starter to dessert – and laughed a lot along the way.
A Perfect End to the Year
This trip was far more than just a change of scenery. It gave space for inspiring conversations, fresh ideas, and shared moments that will be remembered for a long time. Under the warm Andalusian sun, we were able to momentarily leave the year-end rush behind and recharge – ready for everything ahead.
